Supporting A Small Business That Gives Back

Mario and Gabriela Limon opened their Mexican restaurant, Limon’s, in the center of Henagar, Alabama in 2004. After years of growing demand, they began planning for expansion—working with First Fidelity Bank to secure financing to realize their dream of owning a full-scale, family owned Mexican restaurant. In 2017, they did just that, drawing patrons not only from the local community, but from cities as far away as Chattanooga, Tenn. and Atlanta. When COVID-19 began rapidly spreading, the Limons had no choice but to shift their operations to take-out only. Mario and Gabriela turned once again to First Fidelity Bank to secure a PPP loan—allowing them not only to continue employing staff and serving customers safely, but also to give back to the community. The Limons launched a program to serve children in grades K-12 one lunch per week in the month of April—starting with over 400 lunches, and growing to over 900. Thanks to First Fidelity, the Limons were able to protect their dream while supporting their community.
