Busey Bank’s VIPs

In the month of April, Busey Bank offered Volunteer Impact Projects (VIP), a volunteer-in-a-box experience where teams signed up for a volunteer effort that directly served their local community. Though this endeavor was based in Champaign, IL, service centers in Fort Myers FL, Wood River IL, Glenview IL, Edwardsville IL, Creve Coeur, MO and Highland, IL participated in this opportunity.

One successful VIP was a hygiene pack project. Teams met at the bank, and assembled kits full of hygiene items. Bank volunteers took those kits, and donated them to local homeless shelters. From the hygiene pack project alone, over 350 kits were packed, 10 homeless shelters benefited and nearly 70 Busey Bank associates volunteered their time across the nation to serve. Busey is proud to provide employees two paid hours of volunteer time a month, which were put to good use.
