For 146 years, Manasquan Bank in New Jersey has provided direct support to organizations seeking to make a positive difference in their communities. They take great pride in fostering a workplace culture where volunteerism and charitable giving is the heartbeat of who they are. In 2020, the bank announced a redesigned volunteer program to validate and enhance their commitment to this mission with the tagline CREW Cares.
Manasquan Bank’s newly launched CREW Cares program connects nonprofit groups and other community organizations with bank volunteers ready to give their time to those in need. CREW Cares is a direct connection to the bank’s core values, and mirrors their employee recognition program, the CREW Awards.
Throughout the year, they announce new volunteer opportunities located throughout New Jersey. Many of Manasquan Bank’s go-to organizations include Lunch Break, Habitat for Humanity and Fulfill, but they work hard to ensure they are adding new organizations such as SPCA, Ozanam Family Shelter, Beach Clean Ups and more into the mix. In addition, organizations may request an opportunity to participate in CREW Cares by submitting an application on Manasquan’s Charitable Foundation website.
The ongoing success of this program has earned Manasquan Bank a 2020 Community Commitment Award from the ABA Foundation. This award recognizes and promotes the many valuable ways banks of all sizes contribute to economic growth, community development and enhancing the quality of life in their communities—and is a true badge of honor for any bank to earn.
Each bank employee is encouraged to volunteer once per quarter, which equates to two days a year for volunteering efforts during work hours. Manasquan Bank employees personify their service-oriented core values, and the CREW Cares program allows them to demonstrate that commitment.
