Investing in Housing for Communities in Need

American Savings Bank in Hawaii is making a difference in the lives of low-income seniors and families in the community. The bank is the single largest local investor in Rice Camp Senior Housing phase I, a 60-unit affordable housing community for seniors in Lihue, Kauai. Rice Camp provides affordable housing for seniors age 62 and older who are within 60 percent of the area median income. The project was a collaboration involving the Kauai County Council, the county housing agency, the federal government and other agencies and companies.
