FNBO—formerly First National Bank of Omaha—in Omaha, NE, created its Habitat for Humanity of Omaha Loan Fund in 2018 to increase Habitat Omaha's ability to build and rehabilitate even more homes for low-income families. The first year of the fund resulted in 32 loans to 32 low-income families totaling $3.6 million. Thirteen partner banks, as well as Omaha 100, a community development financial institution, support the fund by extending low-interest mortgages to help area families in need.
