Valley National Bank Fosters Employee Inclusion

Valley National Bank is committed to fostering inclusion—and is doing so with the launch of its Valley Associate Resource Group (ARG) program. In 2020, the bank started three associate resource groups: BELIEVE (Black Employees Leading in Inclusion Excellence Vision and Empowerment), HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement) and WISE (Women Influencing Success and Empowerment).

In 2021, the bank expanded its ARG Program with the launch of two additional groups, ASIA (Asian Society for Innovation and Advancement) and the PROUD ARG, which focuses on its LGBTQ+ community. These ARGs represent the strength and spirit of Valley National Bank by championing an environment in which unique and different experiences and perspectives are encouraged and valued.

Valley National Bank’s ARGs allow associates to connect with each other in a meaningful way, which makes teamwork across the organization more successful and collaborative. In July, members of the HOLA ARG, in partnership with Valley Cares, spent a day volunteering at America’s Grow-a-Row in Pittstown, PA. They sent 34 volunteers, who together harvested 16,000 pounds of corn—which will provide 64,000 servings for community members struggling with food insecurity. Valley National Bank is proud to be a generous supporter of America’s Grow-a-Row, and will continue finding ways to connect the bank’s ARGs to the local community.
