AccountSmart from Utah’s Altabank (formerly Bank of American Fork) helps older customers and their caregivers spot and combat financial exploitation. This “smart” checking account features third-party monitoring, power of attorney, secure limited transfers to a caregiver’s account and automatic bill pay. A collaborative effort between the State of Utah and the bank, AccountSmart was developed to both empower older customers and reduce the number of senior fraud victims.
