When Bank of Utah learned that Weber County Search and Rescue (WCSAR) was trying to expand their capability to save lives, they stepped up to help. WCSAR was seeking donations to go toward a $30,000 high-tech drone which would significantly cut rescue time in reaching stranded and injured people in diverse terrain.
Bank of Utah donated $1,000 towards WCSAR, and kicked off a month long Reach New Heights campaign to raise additional funds for this life-saving technology. The bank donated billboard ad space, created internal signage, developed email and social media campaigns and more to help WCSAR generate donations.
As of Oct. 15, 2020, only three months since the launch of their campaign, WCSAR has successfully raised the funds for the drone, and secured it on Oct. 16.
